One thing that you would like to be put off by is using waxes and polishes. These are not really made for laminate flooring and the excess liquid can cause a lot of harm. Liquid can slide in between the tiniest of crevices before you realize it and the moisture will soak up into the material causing it to warp and swell.
If you not care for the odor of vinegar then there is yet another source as a laminate floor cleaner. The cloth cleaners found in stores will do the trick and shield the surface. For stains, you might have to do some scrubbing with a clean soft cloth.
