As it is supported by Leatherman's 25 year warranty, it is a very sturdy tool, but in comparison to many different tools both greater in size and smaller in size, it doesn't feel to be quite as tough. Also, it may come across as a little small to those with larger hands.
On an important note, despite the low number of tools on the product, it does suffer from Leatherman's infamous problem, tool clumping. Why can it be, that a handle with only three tools built in, all come out whilst you try to get only one? With revised designs of pocket tools, this malfunction should be a forgotten memory.
The Leatherman Kick is good value for money, but not an option for a heavy user or a bigger person. My suggestion is that it's better suited as a small tool for a lady's purse or as a young persons first tool. It could be seen as a "cute" tool for people that don't often need tools although like to be prepared.
